How Do I Know?

A Practice of Discernment for Your Third Age

As we enter our Third Age, the questions can change. They may feel like they carry more weight. They are more nuanced.

  • Should I retire?

  • Should I move?

  • What is mine to do now?

  • How involved should I be with my adult children?

  • Do I want to still be in this relationship?

We are often very practiced at considering what everyone else needs. Discernment invites us to slow down, listen more deeply, and notice what is true for us.

This 90-minute session is an opportunity to bring a real question from your life and explore a different way of approaching it—not by rushing toward an answer, but by learning to listen for what you already know, what you don't yet know, and what may need more time.

You’ll explore:

  • the difference between decision-making and discernment

  • how to ask a better question

  • listening to your own knowing without giving your authority away

  • the wisdom of waiting and not knowing

  • simple spiritual practices that can support discernment

Come with a question. Leave with a better one.
