Disappoint More People
A Field Guide for Women Ready to Stop Living by Other People's Expectations
Many women reach their 50s, 60s, and beyond carrying a lifetime of expectations.
Be nice.
Be agreeable.
Don't make waves.
Don't disappoint anyone.
The problem is that becoming an elder often requires disappointing people who prefer the old version of you.
I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself.

A Soul-Centered Field Guide
Disappoint More People
Stop carrying everyone else's expectations. Start living from your own wisdom.
A reflective field guide for women ready to reclaim their lives through honest choices, healthy boundaries, and soul-centered living
This guide will help you stop living from obligation and start living from intention.
If you've spent decades being the dependable one, the caregiver, the peacekeeper, or the people-pleaser, you'll learn practical ways to reclaim your time, energy, voice, and choices so you can step more fully into elderhood on your own terms.
In this guide, you'll discover how to:
Identify the hidden ways people-pleasing is keeping you stuck.
Clarify your core values and make decisions that reflect who you really are.
Set healthy boundaries without carrying guilt or shame.
Say no to obligations that drain your time, energy, and peace.
Prioritize relationships that nourish you and release those that no longer fit.
Speak your truth with greater confidence and authenticity.
Stop managing other people's reactions and start taking responsibility for your own life.
Create more space for what matters most in this season of life.
Why I created this guide:
For much of my life, I worked hard to be the person others needed me to be. Like many women, I learned early that being helpful, accommodating, and keeping the peace earned approval and belonging.
Over the years, I began to see how people-pleasing quietly shapes our lives. It influences the work we do, the relationships we stay in, the opportunities we decline, and the dreams we postpone. It can leave us feeling exhausted, resentful, and disconnected from who we really are.
As I entered the second half of life, I became increasingly aware that time is precious. I often thought about one of the most common regrets people express near the end of life: wishing they had lived more authentically and spent less energy trying to meet other people's expectations.
This guide grew from my own journey of learning that disappointing others is sometimes the price of being true to yourself. We need to care about ourselves and what we want to honour the life we have been given.
My hope is that this guide helps you reclaim your voice, honour what matters most to you, and step more fully into the person you are becoming.
