Introduction to 68
Several years ago, I did a challenge to blog for 30 days straight. It was a stretch and it was quite freeing. There is no way that anyone can create that many epic posts. At some point, you have to let go of perfection and focus on writing. By the end of the writing stint, I had fallen into a rhythm of writing and had found my voice.
I joined Substack a few years ago now. I’ve enjoyed being there and I’ve more than doubled my audience. It was modest when I started and it is still modest - just a little bigger. But with that growth came a feeling of pressure to be profound and engaging.
This past summer, I rebuilt my website on a different platform. During the process I clarified what my work is about at this stage of life. And now, as we enter the fall of 2026, I’m eager to write about it.
Today, I thought about my November birthday. It’s is in 70 days. It may be impulsive or it may be divinely inspired, but the idea to blog every day leading up to my birthday came to me. I’ll post a link to them on Substack in the notes or chat or whatever it is called. I won’t be sending them out to my subscribers. If you are interested check back here everyday or find the link on Substack.
Welcome to my take on this stage of life.
